One of the leaders in hard disk drive manufacturing wanted to ensure stable software development of current and new products. The challenge was to adapt the current solution to expectations for new disk series and optimize the code.

How we made it

Our C++ developers were involved in the project. The goal was to implement successive features in accordance with the established rim requirements and acceptance criteria. BCF was responsible for implementing the logical part of the hard drive software.

Our specialists modernized the diagnostic scripts to improve the quality of the code and ensure its efficient and easy maintenance in the future. Another task was to optimize the build scripts to simplify and speed up the developers' work.

Our programmers were also responsible for unit testing and ensuring proper software security.

What was the final effect

In this project, we ensured that the code was properly trimmed and that the software development was stable. Thanks to our work, the manufacturer received updated software for subsequent versions of the drives.
