Maintenance for embedded products

Keep products reliable after launch with planned firmware updates, vulnerability response and support that fits your release cycle.

Ongoing product care

Security updates

Assess reported vulnerabilities and prepare, verify and release fixes for supported devices.

Dependency monitoring

Track firmware components and toolchains for new releases, vulnerabilities and end-of-life changes.

Firmware updates

Maintain build and release pipelines, including safe update and rollback mechanisms.

A support process that fits your product

  1. 01

    Understand the baseline

Review the code, build process, hardware variants and current support commitments.

  2. 02

    Agree priorities

Set response expectations, supported versions and a practical update schedule.

  3. 03

    Maintain and improve

Deliver reviewed changes with regression testing and clear release notes.

Support across the product lifecycle

We can take over an established codebase or continue work alongside your team. When components become unavailable or the architecture needs a larger change, we can plan a modernization. Security responsibilities over the support period also connect to cybersecurity and CRA.

Maintenance over the Cyber Resilience Act support period

Under the Cyber Resilience Act, manufacturers handle vulnerabilities for a declared support period that reflects how long the product is expected to be used - at least five years, unless the device is expected to be in use for less. Each security update must stay available for at least ten years after its release, or for the rest of the support period if that is longer.

We build the engineering side of that commitment: an SBOM generated in every build, monitoring of components for new vulnerabilities, a vulnerability handling process with the 24/72-hour reporting steps, and a release pipeline that delivers signed updates to devices in the field. See where your product stands with the CRA checklist.
